Get vaccinated at Piel Sana – together against the pandemic
The topic of vaccination against the Covid-19 virus has been on our minds for many months. Numerous people are still waiting for their vaccination or would like to have it refreshed. However, finding a vaccination appointment in a hurry is sometimes not that easy for many people.
In our private practice Piel Sana, the practice for dermatology, we now offer you another possibility to protect yourself effectively against the virus and to receive a vaccination.
What vaccine do we offer against coronavirus disease?
We have a certain contingent of vaccine doses available for immediate use. For vaccination against corona virus, we currently have the vaccine from BioNTech/Pfitzer, known by the trade name Comirnaty.
Vaccination with the mRNA-based vaccine stimulates the immune system and produces defense substances such as antibodies and T-cells. If the vaccinated person later comes into contact with the coronavirus, the immune system can recognize it better and fight it more specifically.
Are there side effects?
Side effects may occur. However, this is normal after a vaccination. This shows that the body is reacting to the vaccine and that defense substances are being formed. The vaccine-related side effects are usually within normal limits and subside within the next few days.
Common side effects of this type are pain at the injection site, muscle or joint pain, fever or headache. Only in very rare cases can complications such as heart muscle inflammation occur.
Who can get vaccinated with us?
Of course, anyone who would like a vaccination against the Covid-19 virus is welcome to visit us. As with any family practice, we primarily care for our regular patients. However, you have not been to see us yet? That’s no problem. We are happy to offer you a vaccination appointment as well, as far as our capacity allows.
The BioNTeck/Pfitzer vaccine has been approved in the European Union since December 21, 2020 for persons 16 years of age and older. For vaccination in children and adolescents, the approval has existed since May 2021, and since November 2021, Comirnaty can also be used in children from the age of 5 years. As of Aug. 16, 2021, the Standing Committee on Vaccination even recommends vaccination of children and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17.
